Presented By Esma Haider, Community Legal Worker – Sexual Harassment in the Workplace Project, Kinna-aweya Legal Clinic

Sexual harassment is a real concern and is more prevalent in workplaces than we might imagine. This webinar touches on many aspects of what sexual harassment in the workplace entails. Questions such as which departments sexual harassment is more prevalent in, which groups more commonly face it, and which groups are more likely the perpetrators of it will be answered. The focus is not only “what” sexual harassment in the workplace is but also “how” an individual and employer should be dealing with such an incident. Case studies and video scenarios will be used to stimulate thoughts on the effectiveness of sexual harassment training and using alternative methods instead. Finally, tools and resources will be provided to cultivate safety and support for impacted workers. Ultimately, the goal is to create safe, healthy and productive workplaces for everyone.
