Please join us for news on our Family-Directed Respite Funding for families caring for children with exceptional needs. Hear about the various ways that families have chosen to use their funding to provide opportunities to their children while enjoying some caregiving relief. Participants of this session will also hear about other respite services available for families caring for adults and seniors with ongoing care needs.
About the Presenters
Renata Dabrowski: Renata has over 18 years of experience in the social service sector, most of which is with the Indigenous population, as well as several years coordinating services for people with various special needs. She has also worked and travelled to northern communities across Ontario (fly-in and drive-in). Renata brings with her a strong knowledge of Thunder Bay and district area resources, and a passion for helping others through advocacy, referrals, education, self-awareness, and land-based activities.
Marybeth Barrett: As the Supervisor of Services at Wesway, Marybeth has extensive experience working with families supporting individuals of all abilities. She believes passionately that families know best about what they need and that successful services must be shaped by the unique needs of each and every family. In this way, families can continue to be strong and connected.
